Buying an exemption
Ok players, you have all stated that you'd be willing to buy an exemption. For this test, I'm giving you each $7500 for an auction. There will be several items you can bid on, some will be covered, some will be visible. The highest bidder will win the item. At the end of the auction, any money you have remaining will be added to the group pot. So if none of you bid on anything, $37,500 will be added in total.
Re: Buying an exemption
The first item up for bidding will be a +1 score on the next execution quiz.
I'll give you 10 minutes to bid (so maybe people will show up). The highest bidder on this thread will win the prize. Bids must be in increments of $100.

Re: Buying an exemption
There's only a few items, not saying the exact number.
Apollo gets the first item for $100.
The next item is covered. I will warn you, the covered items can be really good or really bad for yourself or maybe the group.

Re: Buying an exemption
This seems so familiar, a challenge when only Apollo shows up...
You've won another prize. But the covered prizes will remain secret until after the test.
The next item is the ability to neutralize a player for this round. This means that if they are forced to take the exemption quiz, no matter what - even if they were to earn an exemption.

$100.
Can we just hand me all the prizes? I mean, it'll save us both the time?

Re: Buying an exemption
I'll make you a deal. There are 4 remaining items. They're all covered. Let me know which ones you want to bid on and how much.
Also pot on here who you want to neutralize.

Re: Buying an exemption
I'll bid on em all. $100 each - that's the minimum, right?
So I get all 6 items for $600, with the rest of my monies, i.e., $6,900 going into the pot, right?
Also, um, I'll neuter Jack tyvm.

Re: Buying an exemption
There were 7 total items. 3 you've already won plus 4 more. So only $6800 will be added. Plus the full $7500 from the other players.
Re: Buying an exemption
Here are your prizes...
in box 2 you won a -1 on your quiz
in box 4 you "won" $20,000 deducted from the group pot
in box 5 you won exemption
in box 6 you won the ability to 'exile' one player for the rest of the round. This means that the player will not be helping the group (or even given access to) in the 2nd test this week (plus "Truth or Dare" if they haven't completed that yet). But they'll also not be taking the quiz. So it guarantees they'll survive until next round, but they could miss out on some valuable information.
in box 7 you "won" $5000 deducted from the group pot
In total the 5 of you added $36,800 from remaining money given to you, but $25000 was deducted. A grand total of $11,800 is added to the group pot. We'll wait to see how well the other 3 players fared.
Apollo you also need to post who you want to exile.

Re: Buying an exemption
too late Christi. The auction is over. This was a time-sensitive auction and nobody else showed up.
Re: Buying an exemption
I guess if nothing else Christi, for showing up you are guaranteed safety until the next round. But you will not have access to the remaining conversations or tests for the remainder of the week.
Re: Buying an exemption
sry I'm on vacation. I do show up for most of the challenges, though sry ;_;
